⛸️ It's too late for you
The one and only reason I'm where I'm at today with my anxiety.

The fitness instructor came up to me after the Pilates class …
“How long have you been a dancer?”, she asks.
This question I’ve gotten a hundred times in my life.
My body is meant for dancing …
And looks built for dancing too …
And others seem to sense this.
I’ve always wanted to formally “be a dancer”.
Painfully so.
I’ve dabbled …
I’ve taken a few classes …
Invested in a few lessons …
But REALLY become a dancer? Not yet.
So that was my response.
“Not yet”, I said to her, “BUT … it’s never too late!”.
HER 🤩. EYES 🤩. WIDENED 🤩.
I’ll admit … I was a bit thrown off.
People hire me to be a source of inspiration … of hope … of motivation …
And I’ll admit, I can say some highly inspirational shit.
But …
“It’s never too late!” is not one of my best platitudes 🤣.
But yet …
A fire 🔥 …
A light 🌟 …
A spark of some kind ✨ …
Undoubtedly erupted from a very - VERY - deep place within her.
I had tapped something.
She squats down to meet me at floor level ….
Where I was occupied cleaning my yoga mat.
She leans in close.
REAL close 👀.
She whispers …
In her strong Latvian accent …
“You are right. It’s never too late. But yet, we live in a world that stays occupied with telling us it’s so.”
I showed her my eyes, which expressed full agreement.
“And you?”, I respond.
“A figure skater. I always wanted to be a figure skater. Still do!”, she said, “But, I was told it was too late for me.”
A women in her late 60s …
She continues on … “at 7”.
“What was at 7?”, I ask.
“At 7 years old is when I was first told it was too late for me in my life.”
A heavy silence fills the space between our hearts.
“I was turned away from pursuing ice skating at age 7. So I’ve lived my whole life, almost 70 years on this earth, believing it was too late for me”, disbelief sharply cutting the air around us.
We stared into one another.
A shared silence.
A sacred pause.
And then?
A small smile emerges at the side of each of our mouths.
We start to laugh.
Part grief …
Part prayer …
Part dark humor …
Part awestruck by the f****** folly of it all.
Because we live in a world where there are plenty of people … ready and willing … to tell you … it’s too late for you.
Whether that be at age 35, 60, 72, … or also … at 7 FREAKING YEARS OLD 🤷♀️.
You’re told it’s too late, before you’ve even gotten the chance to start life.
And when it comes to anxiety, I encounter this as well - ALL THE TIME 🪦.
As part of my own story, first …
When back in my 20s, a therapist told me I was likely never going to get any better with my chronic and severe panic attacks (i.e. another form of “it’s always going to be this way”, “things are too far gone”, and “it’s too late for you”).
And secondly …
As part of the stories that come knocking on my door each week ...
From anxiety sufferers such as yourself 💕…
Who so often hold onto some belief that → it’s too late.
🪦- Too late to ever return back to how things used to be
🪦- Too late to lead and live out a life that is not riddled with anxiety
🪦- Too late to _____ (you can fill in the blank on this one)
But I’ll tell you what …
No matter what your “too late” concerns or stories currently are …
I can tell you one thing with 100% certainty☝️.
The ONLY reason I’m where I’m at today …
🌈 - As someone who’s succeeded in acquiring and sustaining a 99% reduction of anxiety in my day-to-day life …
🌈 - And as (now) a full-time Anxiety, Panic & Life Coach helping others achieve the same …
Is because I held on to the measly, quivering, scared to death 1% of me …
That refused to let any form of “too late” be my final prescription.
That’s it.
That’s the FIRST AND ONLY reason why I could make it to where I’m at today with my anxiety - which is at a 99% sustained reduction, no matter the day, no matter the circumstance.
So I ask you …
Do you have even 1% left in you?
A teeny-tiny voice …
Likely residing wayyyyyy far back … in some dark, dusty, hard to get to nook or cranny of your mind 👀 …
A daily voice that, although teeny-tiny, is loud enough to scream for your prioritized attention.
Saying → “It’s totally possible for you! Things CAN change.”
If so …
I want to talk to THAT 1%.
Because, it’s THAT 1% …
That can be responsible for leading the remainder of your totally “NOT too late” life …
And it’s THAT 1% …
That is trying to lead you to THAT 99% anxiety reduction you painfully crave.
And it’s THAT 1% …
That I want you thanking …
Months from now, years from now …
For never shutting up and for never giving up!
Because for me? I still thank mine. Every day.
The lingering 1% voice in my head, all those years ago, that refused for “too late” to be the final prescription for the future of my anxiety.
It’s THAT 1% that invited me to take new actions to get new results.
And it’s YOUR 1%, that’s inviting you to do the same👇💕.
